Robert Baldwin is a local government administrator with more than 37 years of experience in county, city, and departmental management. He holds a master in public administration with a concentration in city management and budgeting from the University of Florida (UF). He also earned a bachelor’s degree in history at UF and completed extensive training in the fields of leadership development and team building with Arthur Young & Company. Since March 2009, Robert Baldwin has worked as the city manager of Dania Beach, Florida.
The oldest city in Broward County, Dania Beach faces a number of challenges as it strives to maintain and modernize key elements of its public infrastructure. As city manager, Robert Baldwin plays an instrumental role in developing operational strategies to overcome these obstacles. He also oversees the provision of the city’s municipal services, including water, waste collection, sewers, building code administration, and police and fire protection. Mr. Baldwin is also responsible for the maintenance of Dania Beach’s municipal marina and pier, as well as its various supervised public beaches, parks, and community pool.
